Sometimes you just have to do what you think is right:
I have now finished the book "Lockie Leonard, Human Torpedo" by Tim Winton. Even though I did enjoy reading the book it has left me feeling a bit sorry for Lockie. He tried to do the right thing all along but ended up being hurt by Vicki. I thought she would realize how wrong she was by trying to use sex as a way of making him like her. I thought she would learn by her mistakes but she didn’t seem to learn anything at all, and I don’t think she is a very nice person.
If I could change anything I think I would have made her understand the difference between love and sex, and then they could have been good friends. The story did make me realize that it is more important to do the right thing even if it doesn’t always make you happy at the time.
Overall the book was ok but I probably wouldn't recommend it as I thought some of the language was a bit gross. Tim Winton has tried to tell his story in a way that would relate to teenagers but I think it is a story that is a bit hard to follow for people my age.
